A. An online auction is a service in which buyers or sellers bid for products or services via the Internet. Online auctions facilitate online activities between buyers and sellers in different locations or geographical areas.

A. Enter e-Auction portal – Click on 'Register Now' link on the right hand side of the home page. Fill up all the relevant information and proceed further.

(+) 3. How much should I pay as a registration fee?
A. Presently the registration fee is Rs.3000 plus Applicable Service Tax as per Government rules.

(+) 4. Do I get confirmation mail after registration?
A. Yes. Please check through the email Id provided by you during registration. You can also change the email Id through 'Modify Profile' link after logging in.

(+) 5. Can I update my registration information?
A. Yes. You can change the registration information under 'Modify Profile' link after logging in.

(+) 6. How long is my registration valid?
A. Your registration is valid for one year.

FAQs Regarding login & security

(+) 1. How do I log on to auction portal once I get registered?
A. Once your user id is enabled by us; you can enter the same in the space provided on the home page and login to the portal.

(+) 2. What if I want to use my account on a different computer?
A. You can use your account anywhere in the world. It just needs a computer an internet connection.

(+) 3. Is the password secured?
A. Password is encrypted at the database level. As a part of the security policy, we advise you to change the password frequently.

(+) 4. How do I change my password?
A. When you login for the first time, system will compulsorily ask you to change your password and the changed password will be valid for the next logins. You can also change your password by clicking on 'Modify password' link available in the left menu after login.

(+) 5. How can I retrieve my lost my password?
A. Click on the 'Forgot password' link available in the home page and as a security measure answer the Hint question, the new password will be emailed to the registered email id. In case you do not remember the hint question, please contact helpdesk for the assistance.

(+) 6. Is my information on the portal secured?
A. The information provided by you is 100% secured. It is only used by the system department for the purpose of evaluation.

(+) 7. How will my personal details be used?
A. Your details are used by the system department during evaluation of the Bids.
